Question:
The yellow Check engine light recently came on. I
haven't noticed any difference in the way my car runs,
but I'm a bit concerned. What does the light mean?
Will i be stranded due to a engine failure ?

Answer:
This is a good question -- and it's one we get a lot.
When that pesky yellow Check engine light comes on,
it means that the computer in your vehicle is sensing a
problem with your engine control system. The drive
train control system is designed to make your engine
work properly and efficient. While your car seems to
be running fine, the yellow light indicates that your
engine is probably not function properly. Since the
check engine light is on, I highly recommend you have
the system checked by a certified mechanic as soon
as possible.
